Wait, is this steam? I heard they charge money. Sorry if I sound stupid, but I only use non-mmo and free game websites like armor games and nitrome. I’m not your average joe (I’m still under 18!!!!) Can you make this BH2 available on armor games? Thanks in advance.

It should be free, or have a preview. I can understand if you are trying to make money, but still… The content should be worth the price. IS it? Well, it is. Some people (I’m not sayin’ who) want the whole game, and you shouldn’t charge them money for it.

It doesn’t make me want to buy…

Seeing it on Steam would, since that is the only way I would be able to purchase it anyway!

I recommend you remove the word “premium”. This single word has been abused too much by freemium-type games of low quality, and personally I immediately stop reading once I read this word. It cheapens any game associated with it and makes it appear as a cash-grab with no substance.

Expansion sounds nice and will make me want to buy it, though it needs a little more additional content to be called that in my opinion.

(Disclaimer: I’ll buy it anyway because I love the game already, but just speaking from the perspective of someone who doesn’t know Bullet Heaven.)

Fair enough. I use “premium” at Kongregate’s recommendation, it’s not really something I would use otherwise, and I guess I’ll remove it.

Personally I take an instant dislike to any game ad that contains the word “Premium”. It’s used too much in conjunction with someone like EA trying to sell me some BS in-game item. :bleh: Maybe it’s just me but the word has some pretty bad connotations.
Expansion pack is good though. I have never been disappointed with an expansion pack and it seems a pretty good description of what it is. Visually it seems good enough.

Yeah, same kinda here. I don’t like the word ‘Premium’ in most game ads…But I never tend to buy some DLC (Or like a version with more stuff in this case) kind of stuff if you can play the game for free. 😐

I’m interested, does BH2 have to through the whole greenlight process like EBF4 to get on steam or does you already having a game on steam help you with this ❓

I will buy it anyway if it is at least as awesome as BH1, but I will wait for the steam version. I spend many hours in your games, it is about time to support your work.

    Hey,

I think this advertisment doesn’t describe the epicness in the game. Bullet Heaven is popular not only because of the touhou Hitbox, but also because it’s part of EBF3. So you should add a bit more epicness. Maybe show that MechaBeeSpider Boss or some other… Maybe the three chara fighting against him? A kind of moving Background?
Of corse the boss will be beaten on legendary (or whatever that was). Or short videos showing them against all kind of bosses with their best looking moves? You can progamm a game. So a video as a background should be easier.

    Hopefully this helps

Hmmm, if there’s gonna be an EBF5, will Phrynna join the party? I can’t wait to see. :yay:

Ehhhh, I meant to buy the full game before seeing this screen, so that screen can only preach to the choir in my case. (Not yet sure if both Kong and Steam like I did with EBF4, or just one of them).

I think its good for a start. But saying right now, I probably wont buy the full game. I don’t feel the need to buy the full game just for 3 Characters (That I do want to play as). But it says they are instantly unlocked, so i’d rather play the game itself to unlock them…But that’s just what i’m going to do. Oh by the way, I wasn’t planning on buying the full game anyways, its not because of the ad. The ad is good, I just think you shouldn’t reuse art from EBF4 and you should add a bit more to the background. :yay:

You do realize that its not Just 3 characters right? I mean the bosses and the survival levels togheter make for 20 more levels to play, not to mention the achievements…

It looks a bit cheaply done, because you simply threw out a bunch of boss sprites in the background. It does demonstrate the point though. Still I really think you should blend those bosses into the background more, as if they’re actually part of the background – tint 50% brown might work.
As for the background picture itself, I see there’s EBF4 fan art. The main problem with it is that it is already used in EBF4, and another thing is that it would help the premium screen stand out much more if you use a separate background pic for it! So I’m really advising using more of various fan arts that people make for you.
I believe my points are going to help buyers subconsciously get influenced more and decide to purchase the premium %)

Yeah, it’s going to be replaced when I get new cover art done for this game.

Great advertising! I already had the will to buy it, but it will definitely work. (The advert for EBF4 didn’t work to me, though, so maybe I am just different. 😐 )
