Find Matt’s Cats: Work Continues…

Hey guys, it’s been a moment since launch – I’ll write more about that soon – but here’s what I’ve already been working on due to player feedback.

Systematically clicking on everything has become the meta for Find Matt’s Cats. Some people like that, and some people don’t. So I added a slider option to limit the number of goals that are collectable at a time, which makes spam-clicking much less effective and rewards remembering silhouettes.

I’ve added a few more accessibility options that were requested. You can now disable the 2nd mouse cursor in spot-the-difference levels. You can disable the night-time and sunset lighting effects. And you can disable weather effects, like rain, fog, and others. These options let you skip some of the special gimmicks in some levels, but that’s okay if it’s causing discomfort.

Anyway, that’s a preview of what’s coming in the next update.

And finally, I’ve already started drawing more objects to add to the game…

hi, i have a few small issues if u have the time to look

the first one is that i wish idle animations on each side in the spot-the-difference levels were synced, i’ll use the swinging net in the first one as an example, it’s kinda weird and disorienting that something like that doesn’t match up and it’d feel better if they were synchronized

also, with some of the UIs you can get, the items to find list at the bottom sometimes has uneven spacing between the items boxes, i think when you find items that were in-between others? the third UI option, represented by a white square, is one where this happens

finally, there’s a couple of levels where i’ve had hints tell me that something is out in the open, but i actually had to move something out of the way – i think this happen with things hanging from a rope that can be moved like the tire. one example is the weasel creature in level 1-5, where the hint tells you it’s in the open but you have to move a swing out of the way

love the game btw i love how every little thing is interactive

Awesome work! I’ve started playing today and have a lot of fun. A comment here is probably not the best place for feedback, but i’ll add my two cents anyway.

My biggest frustration is that treasure objects look almost exactly like regular objects on the map. A good example are bars of gold – only a very specific one is a collectible even though a bunch of them is scattered around the map with very little difference between them.

Other than that the game is even now in the top of my fave hidden object titles. Much better than Hidden Through Time, not yet at Hidden Folks (but hopefully soon to be there!).
