Hidden Cats: Autumn

Here’s another level from Matt’s Hidden Cats!

Currently working on more weather effects, including rain, snow, fog, thunderstorm, sandstorm and some other weird ones. Some just add atmosphere, but others affect the gameplay a bit by narrowing your vision.

Sometimes I feel like Iā€™m wasting my time by not making the biggest impact possible with my work (EBF6) but I really wanna make an actually good casual game to show off to normies like my parents. So here we are.

    Make games based on your passion rather than what you think people would want. Ultimately, as long as you’re having fun coding, play-testing, drawing or anything else you need to do, it’s already a success.

    besides i wanna play hidden cats so win-win šŸ˜‡

    I see nothing wrong with making a game more casual-based! Always good to take a more chill break and have a variety and even if I have been seeing a few games like this more (which nothing wrong with it of course), it feels like yours has a lot more care put into it although that’s just because I follow your progress on here so I’m more than a tad biased.

    I’m eager to know how this game will reveal the ebf lore, and don’t worry, although I like the idea of a 6 installment, it’s something that only you should decide, if you’re comfortable like that, then keep it up! Thank you for your great work! (sorry for the translator!)

    I echo Joseph’s comment – I’ve played the EBFs through 5, and while I would love having a 6th to play, I’m still working my way through the different play options on #5. Also loved the Hidden Cats demo – downloaded and played it, really looking forward to release, and even my “what is this silly EBF game” husband liked it. Press on!

    I am really excited for Hidden Cats after playing the demo, so don’t worry about it! I don’t think you really need to make another Epic Battle Fantasy entry, because the series finished on a high note and I’m glad you get to work on different projects now!

    I was checking in on some of my favorite game developers, and looking at screenshots for this game’s steam page. My little sister walked by and stopped me so we could look for items together. It was janky, but we had fun, so thanks for making that moment with her possible. She wanted to leave you a message, so here it is, with ~five minutes worth of hand typed smiley faces, “To show how happy I am.”

    I hope to see more games like this it seems so fun I hope you update pls release soon I want to try this game. <= =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D

      That’s good to hear!
      The difficulty options should make this game suitable for all ages.
