Hey guys, I’ve finished all 50 fakemon for the new monster cards in EBF5.
If ya’ll recall, the cards are basically unique steroid-type items that give you some perks.
I’ll keep the rest of the monsters a secret, so you’ve got at least a few surprises when the update comes out. Now I just need to write some silly names and descriptions for them…
Hey guys, me and Ronja exhibited EBF5 and Bullet Heaven 2 at the Play Expo in Glasgow last weekend. It’s a chill, medium-sized event with lots of retro games and a family-friendly atmosphere. We also exhibited last year, so we knew what to expect and there wasn’t really any surprises. But this time we were joined by our buddy Chris Jeff, another Flash game developer who is now working on Squishy Sports.
The expo seems to grow a bit every year, but there’s less and less indie developers exhibiting there. So I’ll have to try to convince more UK devs to come over for next year!
Best quote this year was that Bullet Heaven 2 “looks like Undertale on crack”.
Hey guys, I went to M&Ds on Friday with some friends. It was quite a nice day, so I was surprised to see the park completely deserted. England has a few great theme parks, but this is all we’ve got in Scotland, and it aint much. I made a quick video dedicated to how disappointing it was.

Hey guys, there’s been a few changes to the EBF Discord.
We’ve got 100 emojis now, including the totally new art you can see below.
We’ve changed some of the moderators and added a “community manager” style role, so you know who to complain to if you have issues.
We’ve also accidentally kicked people who have been inactive for a day – sorry about that, please come back!
Anyway, if you haven’t visited the Discord in a while, it may be worth taking another look.

Hey guys, me and Ronja will be exhibiting Epic Battle Fantasy 5 and Bullet Heaven 2 at the Play Expo in Glasgow this weekend. This time I’ve got the full version of EBF5 – not just a demo, and we’ll also try to get some 4 player games of BH2 going. It’s not a big event but it’s still lots of fun.
In other news, I’ve finished updating the animations for the classic foes that are coming back to EBF5. The animations haven’t changed much, but I’ve balanced the sound volume, added flee animations, and fixed other little things. I’ve already spoiled a lot about the update, so I’d like to keep which foes are coming back as a secret. But so that you don’t get your hopes up, I’ll tell you that there’s no final bosses. If you really want to see the full details, they’re up on my Patreon.
So that’s 23 new foes and 27 classic foes confirmed for the EBF5 version 2 update, with many of those being bosses or minibosses.
