Hidden Cats and Dogs: Blood Filter

Hey guys, I’m quietly working on Hidden Cats and Dogs in the background. Gradually getting ready to have a small demo ready, but there’s still some vital features missing (like a victory screen!) Around 20 levels are finished, so there’s already a lot of content, even if it’s not fully polished yet.

Today I implemented the option to turn off blood and dark themes, so seeing dead cartoon animals is optional. (This also effects minor references to Satanism, suicide, drugs, etc.) So the game should be suitable for all ages, if you wish.

You probably won’t see this but I noticed on steamdeck it says EBF5 is incompatible which is true with the newest version of proton but all you need to do is change the version to 3.7-8. which takes 6 secounds and everything run completely fine. Just wanted to let you know if you ever looked into steam deck compatibility.

Yeah, I asked Valve to change the compatibility to “playable” instead of “fully supported”, and they changed it to “not supported”… so that’s a bit annoying.

Would’ve been interesting to see a comparison between the option on or off. That way it answers the question of “Are objects replaced with PG counterparts or are they outright removed from the playfield?” Either way, it’s neat to see that you’re (once again) adding the family-friendly option!
