• Weapons now have different sound effects.
• Anna is such a good archer she can now hit enemies with her bow.
• The characters make more distinct faces when hit.
• There’s a Blue Elephant. (and more Flash game characters have been negotiated!)

Anna seems to use telekinesis to move her bows because they doesn’t look to be in her arms. The way Natalie hold her wand is also weird, like if her fingers are flat or something.
Guys, can you go easier on the hands?
We are seeing only one frame of animation here, and during animation hand-weapon coordination gets messed up. Since it’s going to keep moving, we won’t really notice that 0.1 second where the hand is slightly off weapon.
Besides, it’s going to be at lower zoom level without an option to zoom in, on this preview it’s enlarged a lot.
We won’t really notice any of this from afar and during motion.
Yeah, little mistakes will be much less noticeable in action – but the wooden bow is still too thick to hold so I will fix that.

I know that they’re WIP, but I just wanted to tell this: The hand that is holding the bow looks like it is in front of the bow, not around it.
Truly, Anna is a talented archer. :ooo: I’m going to find out how to smack people with the bow, and kill every boss with that attack. :stars:

That depends of the engine which Matt selects.
Last time, Flash had problems exporting to Mac and it was overly difficult, near impossible, so there was no Mac version.
Learning how to use an engine other than Flash is going to be error-prone and time-consuming (and there’s not really any reason to switch from it), so chance <1% that there will be Mac support.
Sorry to bring sad news to you 🙁
If Adobe make the changes to Air that I want, making a Mac version should be technically easy – the main problem is that I don’t have a Mac nor know anything about them.
Hooray for Anna – she’s my favorite character. Hope she’ll get a lot of new skills, it would be cool if each character was able to have a skill or two for each element. :love2:
Seeing that you’re considering Flash game cameos, have you ever heard of Starwish? I found that one to be extremely good in its time.
Anyway, about how many main bosses do you plan to put into the game overall? Or is that not decided yet?
Oh man, Starwish. I remember that one. I thought it was amazing and was surprised by its length and depth.
Don’t think Matt would be able to get a reply even if he tried. Last time I checked. The maker of starwish hasn’t posted anything on Newgrounds since around 2009. I think they kinda just feel out of the internet after making such a wonderful game.
Seeing a wrecked ship on a farm though with a snail painted on the side would be great to see though if Matt did try to put any in.
Starwish….such a great game. Definitely in my top 10 best flash games I’ve ever played. It would be nice to see a reference to the game in EBF5 as a homage to its greatness. A shame a sequel was never made.
How are distinctive faces going to work? In previous games they had a random face every time from a huge variety, but here… does it mean one of the possible faces that they pick is going to be unique to the character?
Yeah, they each have a bunch of unique faces now.
