Hey guys, I’ve finished and tested the 1vsMany battles in the Battle Arena.
They’re pretty interesting – at least on Epic difficulty – every battle is like a combat puzzle where you need figure out a specific setup to avoid being wiped out immediately.
The rules of the Battle Arena are:
Each player must win 10 battles without leaving.
Each battle is one wave.
Summons are not allowed.
There’s no Game Overs – you can retry immediately if you lose.
Hey Matt!
So I was just doing absolutely nothing then this came to my head…
Remember how Akron could change elements? I thought, well what if there was a kind of enemy who could mimic the players?
Then, I started to develop more that idea, and this is how it turned out:
Spirit of Light
This entity can change elements and players, making it unpredictable. Has access to Thunder, Ice, Water, Wind and Holy elements.
Note: The elemental resistances depend on its element, and some stats and attacks depend on the player.

Player Shift – Targets self, changes current player. Does not take up a turn and can be used with Elemental Shift.
Mega Dispel – Targets everything, 500% 1x Dispel. Ignores AND dispels Bless. Removes debuffs from itself. Basically, it can only be avoided with 100% dispel resistance.
A few notes for battle logic:
If at least one player is invisible – Player Shift to Natz, Attack that player.
If all players are invisible and the current form is Matt’s – Player Shift.
If at least one player is invisible – Use a magic attack on that player.
If at least one player is enchanted – Player Shift to Matt, Attack that player.
If all players are enchanted and the current form is Natz’s – Player Shift.
If at least one player is enchanted – Use a physical attack on that player.
On Hard and Epic difficulties, it will use elemental weaknesses and status resistances to the fullest, such as:
Avoiding elements which the players are resistant to (these will be available for Elemental Shift, but will be less likely to be chosen);
Using status effects to increase damage (Like spamming Hurricane);
Not using dispelling attacks when the players have dispel resistance;
And things that I can’t think of now.
Ok, I know most attacks are just copied from the players’s skill set, but I think this can be a pretty cool boss.
Also, I thought of a Spirit of Darkness, basically it’s similiar to the Spirit of Light, but it changes into the opposite elements (Fire, Earth, Bio, Bomb and Dark), uses corresponding status effects (Burn, Tires, Poison, Stagger, Death), and some of the avoided attacks are used (I didn’t put Antimatter Flux on purpose)
Thanks for Reading (or not)! :stars:
Also, Are the old bosses coming back? In an update, you said that some of the new enemies were from the previous games, but you weren’t specific.
I’d love to fight Akron and Godcat with EBF5 mechanics!
As Matt said in other posts, 2 bosses from each game will appear, but no final bosses.
im guessing extra skills are gonna be a major part of this.I could see some enemies that’s weak to magical on matts part,thus making us use magic skills.Maybe not,but it’s cool to speculate.
I’m assuming by what he said that it will be a room with 10 enemies in it and if you die the game goes back to right before you entered the last battle. Especially considering that you have to have the right equipment to not instantly die. Redoing all the battles would be hell.
I meant this as a reply to the guy a few comments up from this. Shwoops.

uuh i wanna see a video about that
By restart immediately do you mean you have to restart the entire 10 battle line up? Or just that single fight?
Thanks.
This is going to be my favorite mode :ooo: :stars:
wow
i like it
