EBF5: Wyrms

The Zombie Hydra is back as a regular strong enemy!
I’ve given up pretending that they have bodies, they’re just huge snakes now. I’m not sure whether or not they’ll be able to revive each other, we’ll see.
There’s not much new to see here, the two new types are basically replacing some of the dragons.

I definitely think the zombie hydra should be able to revive, it’s been the number one reason I’d say why people still remember it from it’s appearance all that time ago in EBF2.
Maybe make it so they don’t revive at full health though if you don’t want it to be as powerful.

In my opinion, the flame/obsidian/magma wyrm isn’t too good visually (it plainly should not have an eye. The eye also looks especially weird after hit 3.

    The attacks, however, are great.

theses guys look great :yay: i’m noticing there is no freeze option and it’s replaced with the 3rd hit button so is it impossible to freeze these types of enemies? :ooo:

Next up: Trollocs! (WoT) …just kidding.
I like the idea of having more than one hydra, but the ice one just looks too mutch like a recolor of the original one.
Please consider drawing it again or something.

Nice! The first heavies of the game. Good to see that the zombie hydras (Or wyrms) now have some buddies of their own. 😀 Incidently, does that mean that dragons will not be making an appearence?

Hope the dragons will be, they were pretty cool enemies, even if dragons are “cliche”, nothing feels cooler than taking down three dragons at once. Well, I suppose taking on a god does, but aside from the boss fights, not much beats out the dragons.

You could always go with some of the other classic giant monsters if you don’t want to do a dragon again. Behemoths, Leviathans, gorgons, ect.

A gorgon in the EBF style would be pretty cool. There really isn’t many humanoid enemies in the games aside from artificial ones like clays and slingers.

Just curious, have you ever considered a ‘giant’ enemy. I mean an actual giant from myth, not just a very large enemy. Perhaps instead of drawing his whole body, you could just draw the feet, similar to plants vs zombies. Lots of stomping attacks and dropping things on your head. Could be interesting.

Do it akin to Bigfoot from Don’t Starve where it turns out that it literally is just the feet.

That zombie hydra brings back memories of when I fought it in EBF4 near the end. So much XP….SO MANY LIMIT BREAKS…SO MANY PIZZAS CONSUMED!!!!!!

…The XP was well worth it though.

Definitely looking forward to fighting them in EBF5! :stars:

…i hope they don’t respawn 2 turns later like in EBF4 :skull:
