Artist here, thanks for commenting! I had someone else point out how dark it was actually, so I might make it a bit brighter, hmm… I notice the hair highlights now that you mentioned it, haha! It was one of the last things I added and by that time it’s pretty easy to forget that you’ve missed some things and just say “done!” Hindsight is definitely a #%#$! sometimes!

Hey there, glad you like it! I’ll admit that I changed Matt’s facial expressions tons of times during the sketches, and even throughout the rest of the work. At first I wanted him to have a soft expression, which Nat ended up having oddly enough, and then I wanted him to have some crazy, fierce expression which didn’t work at all and eventually I just drew a stupid grin. It still looks off though, no doubt! He does kindof look a bit unsettling :scared: And I probably did overdo the eye-shadow on Lance… Wanted to balance out Matt’s happiness with some good ol’ fashioned angst! :yay:
Okay so I went back and fixed Matt’s expression a bit, so hopefully those small tweaks’ll get rid of the whole uncanny valley type of thing. Took away the shading around Lance’s eyes so he doesn’t look like he hasn’t slept in weeks! :yay: The updated version is on my deviantart which Matt linked here!
Did highlights on Matt’s hair but not on others?

The players look great :stars: but there is something about Matt that I just don’t like! 😡 and Lance looks too tired or old. ❗
